3 free credits, once

Your song.
Your backing track.

Make a practice backing track from a YouTube link or your own audio file. Sing in your browser — including on your phone — and blend the original recording back in when you need a cue.

Up to 10 minutes / 25 MB. Trial results are kept for 7 days. Audio is processed by Replicate and Deepgram. Account results require the owning account to sign in.

01

An instrumental to rehearse with

Voice and backing are separated by a model, so how clean it comes out depends on the recording. You can download the result either way.

02

Word-level timing

Words are transcribed from the recording and light up as they play, when transcription succeeds. Custom lyrics use approximate timing and may not follow the recording.

03

Sing with the original

Slide the original recording back into the mix when a line is hard to hold, then take it away again. It is the full original, not an isolated vocal.

START WITH A LINK

YouTube to karaoke, for your next rehearsal

Copy a link to a video you have permission to process, make an instrumental, then sing with as much of the original as you need. No app installation.

How to make a backing track on your phone
  1. Bring your song. Use a permitted single public YouTube video or upload your audio.
  2. Wait for the result. Processing can fail; a playable result appears only when the job is ready.
  3. Rehearse your way. Start with the instrumental, blend in the original for a cue, or download the instrumental.

Before you make a track

Can I use it on my phone?

Yes. Open the site in your mobile browser, paste a permitted YouTube link or select an audio file, and tap Play once the result is ready. You do not need to install an app.

What if YouTube will not import?

Some public videos cannot be imported. Playlists, live streams, private and login-required videos are not supported. Upload an audio file you have permission to process instead; the guide explains the steps.

Will the vocals and lyrics be perfect?

No. Separation quality depends on the recording, and traces of vocals can remain. Automatic lyrics may be wrong or missing. This is a practice player with an instrumental download, not a karaoke-video exporter.

What does the Original slider bring back?

The full original recording, not an isolated vocal. Blend it in when you need a reference, then move back to the instrumental when you are ready.

What are the limits, and who can open a result?

Tracks can be up to 10 minutes and uploads up to 25 MB. Trial results are kept for 7 days. Account results require the owning account to sign in. Retention deadlines are shown in My tracks. Check Account for your balance and current purchase availability.
